MAOF’s goal is to improve early learning and development of the children we serve. Our focus is implementing best practices by providing high quality early learning services to the families we serve. We also want to ensure that all children upon entry are accessed using a developmental screening(ASQ-SE). Depending on the outcome, implementation of early intervention strategies will be utilized to ensure proper identification of the children at risk. MAOF encourages teaching staff to pursue academic advancement in their professional development by attending college courses and trainings that will improve their teaching skills and to upgrade to higher child development permit. Throughout the year, the Staff Development Supervisor schedules on-site staff development in DRDP, DAP, curriculum, teamwork, and challenging behavior to name a few. Classroom observations are conducted periodically by the Staff Development Supervisor and teaching strategies are provided to teaching team in areas needing improvement. A follow up meeting is conducted that focuses on reflection.
