Bakersfield College Child Development Center provides a safe, healthy, developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 2 years to 5 years of age while their parents attend college courses and reach their educational goals. The child development center also offers a 3 hour preschool program for children 3 years to 5 years of age who meet the income guidelines. The full day preschool program is open from 7:30-4:30 Monday through Friday and the half day program is open from 8:30-11:30 or 12:30-3:30 Monday through Friday. The center believes that a positive learning experience in the early year sets the stage for lifelong learning.
